Resistance 2 is a science fiction horror first person shooter video game for the PlayStation 3. It sees protagonist Nathan Hale travel to the United States to battle the Chimera, who have launched a full scale invasion of both the east and west coasts. In this game, Hale is part of an elite force of soldiers called "The Sentinels", who, like him, are infected with the Chimeran virus, and must keep it under control through regular application of inhibitors.

As part of the promotional game site design, I was tasked to collaborate with our motion designer to art direct and design an age gate intro page. With an asset that consisted of only one high resolution game box art, I started the grueling task building a unique dark orange scene around a fictional city that was to match in similarity to the San Francisco Bay. Piecing together ships, fire, smoke, and buildings from several different resources proved challenging, but rewarding when finished, back in 2008.

Methproject.org is the first comprehensive online source of information for teens about methamphetamine. Catering to the way teens use the web for information, entertainment and social connection, it changes the way teens are talked to about this drug epidemic. It provides rich content including perspectives from addicts, medical experts, friends and family of addicts. It’s a thorough, rich presentation of the effects and consequences of meth use with interactive TV spots and activities, state-specific content and a community section for personal stories and artwork.

I was tasked to take a chosen site design won from a pitch and translate it visually to strict guidelines given by the client. This included a new design template that needed to be scalable (including one main content size area) and adaptable for Web, Tablet, and Mobile platforms. Working on a team of 36 with an incredibly determined client proved to be the most challenging 7 month project I've ever worked on.

Specifically a corporate site designed for Hiltons Investors and Developers, with the brands core business philosophy around "hospitality" and "warmth", this ipad version uses the right to left swipe method revealing new content underneath the left hand navigation. Using the "golden ratio" as a grid system, I also incorporated a publication design layout that is easy to read and recognizable for everyone.

The Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) is a San Francisco based nonprofit Museum in the center of downtown San Francisco. The purpose is to bring people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds together so they can enjoy, study and appreciate, through enriching exhibitions, public and educational programs. A major theme for Moad revolves around the term "Diaspora". Diaspora is the movement, migration, or scattering of people away from an established or ancestral homeland.

In this first direction, we took the term diaspora and came up with a way to personalize a visitors experience by allowing them to contribute to visual "arches" that trace a path all the way back to Africa, where we all essentially came from during the evolution of man. Using an interactive information design approach to the site, it allowed a fun, simple, and visually organized center piece for the museum.

In order for Intel to connect and build solid relationships with their retail partners, they decided a "brandless" online PC product selector was the first step. The purpose was intended to balance out the retailer Intel relationship by not forcing the Intel brand on consumers who might raise questions about the purpose of the module. This product selector allowed potential PC buyers who are visiting sites like Best Buy or Fry's an opportunity to use this guide as a basis for selecting the right PC. The goal for this design was to allow a scaleable solution for sections using a 3 step guided experience. As each step expands and contracts, the user receives immediate results that match their buying needs.

Intel has the most powerful processor chips in the market today. Performance and visuals played a key role in this poster execution, so we needed to develop a visual process that combined the branded flowing "die shapes" at the tail end of the kite with a system differentiating the processor types, i3, i5, and i7. Using a kite as a metaphor, I was able to capture a beautiful point in time which not only catered to the concept, but delivered a solid idea for future campaigns. Execution consisted of kite and laptop design only.

Specifically a corporate site designed for Hiltons Investors and Developers, I designed this around the clients request to allow rapid access to valuable content eliminating any flash for a timeless experienced visit. I ended up highlighting key content for key visitors but also took advantage of designing a site around the brands core business philosophy, "hospitality and warmth". As an HTML only required deliverable, and the scale of the amount of pages, the challenge relied on a strong understanding of quick thinking around HTML design during a quick deadline.

For this direction, I decided to take a different approach for a visual look and feel. Using the main navigational elements of the site, I decided to create a 3 dimensional path that lead the user to particular sections of the site, while gaining information about what the term diaspora meant, and at the same time intersected with exhibition highlights.

California is under an energy consumption crisis. The California Public Utilities Commission came to the aid of DraftFCB and I to come up with a brand campaign revolving around 2 key areas. 1. The California Energy Project. A consumer-facing brand that empowers regular folks to come together to do something amazing and fun while at the same time helping solve the energy crisis itself. 2. Engage 360. A think-tank of practitioners and civic leaders who talk about big goals and social change as a regular part of their day.

Accepting the freelance gig as Lead Designer, I worked closely with a Copywriter and Creative Director to design a look and feel for three key elements of this pitch. A coffee table book (above), and two 30 second TV spot story boards (see spot 1, see spot 2). With a visual tone already set, we began to fine tune it using powerful typography and color for all executions.

Intel continues to be the industry leader for consumer processor computing. Taking advantage of several retail spaces, they asked Organic to develop an animation that would utilize their current "lab formula" branding campaign into an animated LCD display piece. Working closely with my Creative Director and Motion Designer, my task was to conceptually develop a very short animated story using the "smart" campaign language with readymade illustrations.
