INTERACTIVE TABLE  •  OBJECT RECOGNITION

Davinci Operation Game

For an opening gala night of the brand new Sutter Health hospital in San Francisco, Britelite was tasked to come up with several unique interactive installations to entertain special guests. Upon each themed floor during the evening, guests were introduced to this main attraction of the event. The Davinci robot, often used in hospitals around the world, is a remarkable technology allowing surgeons to perform precise surgery at twice the speed. Using object recognition and interactive table technology, I was tasked to design a user interface system that mimicked the Davinci robot mixing it with a playful user experience.

Object Recognition

One of the key highlights of the interactive table was using a copper ring as an active controlling mechanism on the table.

Controlling the User Interface

As the visitor scans the body of a mock patient, the user interface system follows the path of the ring.

Mimicking Surgery

Once the scan is complete, an affected area is determined and the interactive surgery begins.
